Giving Opportunities
TRANSPORTATION
CWCS currently owns two vehicles for student transportation. One is a 1981 Dodge van and the other is a 2000 GMC Tahoe. Both vehicles are in good condition; however, due to their age and size they are not useful for routine and long-distance travel. As CWCS continues to grow the school needs more reliable transportation options for our students. CWCS for the 2025 school year will likely transport students from the Delta campus to Montrose who are entering High School. Additionally, our sports teams and school field trips require reliable transportation to ensure our students travel safely. CWCS would like to acquire at least two 15-passenger vans.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Donations towards infrastructure go to maintenance and new development. These gifts help us maintain our buildings and give us the means to accommodate growth. Some of our current infrastructure needs are: HVAC upgrades to multiple classrooms, addition of a multi-use gym, sanctuary expansion, new middle/high school campus (with athletic complex), and a paved pick-up area. With the gifts we have already received, we have built 4 additional classrooms (in 2023), installed a new playground (in 2024), and added air conditioning to the school library (in 2024).

TECHNOLOGY
While CWCS is primarily a liberal arts school we cannot provide our students with a well rounded education which prepares them for their future without exposing them to the various technological elements of our society. However, our goal is to teach our students how to use technology ethically with a Christian worldview in mind. Areas of needed funds include TVs and chromecasts to replace outdated projectors in classrooms, teacher laptops (typically last 3-5 years), GoGuardian (Chromebook security), Chromebooks for students (we currently do not have a 1 to 1 ratio), as well as a technology class to include video & audio editing.

GENERAL
Our general giving category allows us to pay for un-anticipated needs or emergencies. These funds go towards a wide range of things that are necessary to keep the school running.

FINE ARTS
We are trying to expand our fine arts program and boost our extra curricular activities. We desire for our students to have as many opportunities as possible and be able to explore the gifts God has given them.

SCHOLARSHIPS
CWCS sets aside 10-15% of all tuition income annually to support our tuition assistance program. Additionally, CWCS partners with FACTS Financial to offer our families a third party scholarship through ACE should they meet the financial need. In 2022 and 2023, CWCS along with ACE awarded more than $100,000 in tuition assistance and financial aid. We are pleased to offer an additional scholarship opportunity named after Ryan and Sally Fox. The Foxes understood the value of Christian education. They hope to provide an opportunity for those who can give financially to help support families so they too may pursue a faith based education.

Brick Fundraiser
LEAVE. YOUR. MARK.
Family, friends, alumni, and other supporters can now leave a permanent mark at CWCS. Legacy Park will be constructed of engraved bricks in honor of, in memory of, or in recognition of someone special. This park will be located at the entry of the new gym to be built at the main campus in Montrose. The funds raised with the purchase of the bricks will add to the infrastructure account. This account will allow us to continue growing by building the gym as well as the new middle/high school campus at 6720 Rd and Sunnyside in Montrose.
You are a part of the CWCS legacy already, but now you can become a permanent part of the Knight's history. This park is a testimony of our school, and the work our Lord has done on the Western Slope. Every student that walks through our doors will benefit because of you and the others who placed their names on these bricks.

A PERSONAL STORY
AN ETERNAL LEGACY
Giving to Inspire a Generation of Givers
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Ways to Give
Maddelon Bransom
DIRECTOR OF DONOR DEVELOPEMENT
Hi! My name is Maddelon Branson and I am the new Director of Donor Development for Colorado West Christian School! I am excited to help aid our schools as they continue to grow and serve our community.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Marcus, and we have 3 boys. We moved to the Western Slope in 2011 from Texas. We should have moved sooner. I will always be a Texan, but I am definitely a mountain girl. We love serving at our church, Montrose Church of Christ, and with our Trail Life Troop. When I am not in one of those places, I love camping, kayaking, baking and riding horses (although I haven’t been able to do that lately).
I have been involved with the PAC, school board and now I am on staff and couldn’t be happier. I have enjoyed fundraising for many years, I just never thought it would be where God placed me for work. CWCS has been an amazing place for my kids, as well as myself.
