MELISSA MORAN
“Miss Moran was born and raised in Montrose Colorado. She graduated from Montrose High school in May of 2018. She had planned to go away to college to become a nurse but needed to make some money before going to college. Three days after her high school graduation at age 18 a position to be a classroom aid opened up at her church preschool. She started teaching at Montrose Christian childhood center. She fell in love with teaching and knew that’s where God was calling her to be. She taught at MCCC until September of 2019. In September of 2019 she took a job working for the school district as a preschool teacher. During her time at the school district preschool Miss Bray earned her Child Development Associate Credentials. Miss Moran loved being a preschool teacher. However, in January of 2022 Miss Moran felt she was being called to help assist at the middle school level as an Attendance/Student Advocate CRT (Covid response team.) She enjoyed building relationships with the children and their families. At the end of the school year Miss Moran felt she was being called back to teach at a Christian school, so she made the switch to CWCS. In May of 2019 Miss Moran decided to continue expanding her knowledge and education. She began taking classes in May of 2019 through Grand Canyon University to earn her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education and Early Childhood Special education. Miss Moran will graduate with her ECE and ECSE Bachelor’s degree in the spring of 2024. Miss Moran is very excited to help develop the academic and spiritual education of her 2nd grade students.”
