My name is Dawn Schieldt. I am thrilled to be part of Colorado West ChristianSchool’s team as the K4 teacher. I have been married to my best friend for 28 years. We have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. We have lived in Montrose for 28 years and I have spent over 30 years working with Children in various forms. I was raised in a Christian home where my dad was also my pastor. I can now appreciate what a blessing that was as I also accepted Jesus in the 3rd grade. My passions are my family, children, and coffee. I love a good cup of coffee. I am excited to be able to teach and share Christ, where hopefully children will know Him in a very personal way. Children have value and purpose now and education is not only valuable but fun. I love Proverbs 22:6 and the value God places on children. To Quote Dr. Suess, “Don’t give up. I believe in you all. A person a person no matter how small.”
